McCarthy Stadium
Field Turf Installation Completed August, 2008
Directions
The King's College athletic teams began playing on the new synthetic turf
field at McCarthy Stadium beginning with the 2008 season. The multi-purpose
field was made possible due to King's Legacy of Excellence Capital Campaign.
Lights were also installed to allow for greater use of the facility by King's
football, soccer, lacrosse and field hockey teams for practice and games,
allowing for evening games and practices.
A new scoreboard was also installed in the south end zone. The numbers
illuminate in red on a black background. The small clock below the "K" is
the football play clock.
The field is lined for five different NCAA Division III athletic teams, including
football, men's and women's lacrosse, soccer and field hockey. Football uses
the white lines; men's lacrosse utilizes the blue; women's lacrosses lines are
orange; men's and women's soccer uses the yellow; while field hockey makes
use of the red lines.
