PLAY GRAY FOR BRAIN CANCER

On Saturday, February 1 King's College will be hosting a Play Gray Day when the men's basketball teams face Freedom Conference rival DeSales University in Scandlon Gymnasium.

Gray is the color for Brain Cancer. Over the summer King's women's basketball coach Brian Donoghue was diagnosed with the disease. The King's Community, as well as other colleges, have helped raise funds to help the Donoghue family, which includes his wife Andrea and children Patrick (age-5), Mackenzie (age-3), and Liam (age-1).

King's is selling "Play Gray" tee-shirts with all proceeds being donated to the Donoghue family.  Tee shirts can be purchased in Scandlon Gym during the 1:00 p.m. women's game and the 3:00 p.m. men's game at a cost of $10 per-shirt.

In addition, a variety of candy will be made available with the hopes spectators will make a cash donation of their choice in exchange for taking candy. All candy funds will also be donated to the Donoghue family.

Tee shirts and candy sales will be held during both women's and men's games.

In addition, there is going to be a "Night for Brian" fundraising reception at Uptown Restaurant, right across from the Luzerne County Courthouse on River Street. There will be a $10.00 cover with all proceeds from the cover and tips going to Brian and his family.

We hope that you can join us to help support an important member of the King’s College family.  If you are unable to attend the events, but wish to support Brian and his family, please send your check (made payable to Brian Donoghue) to:
