KING'S MEN'S SWIM TEAM FALLS TO MT. ST. MARY'S, 155-99

WILKES-BARRE – The King's College men's swim team came up short in its dual meet against Mt. St. Mary's (NY) College, falling 155-99 Saturday in Scandlon Gymnasium. With the loss, the Monarchs slipped to 0-4 on the year.
Eric Stencovage won the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:05.95 as well as the 50 freestyle at 25.12, while placing second in the 200 breaststroke with a 2:40.69. Brandon Senese captured the 100 backstroke with a MAC qualifying time of 1:05.41.
Dave Washick captured the 200 backstroke with a MAC qualifying time of 2:23.15 while placing second in the 100 butterfly at 1:01.08. Jack Harrington was second in the 100 freestyle with a time of 53.76; second in the 200 freestyle at 1:59.58; and second in the 500 freestyle with a 5:44.15. Josh Debellas was second in the 1,000 freestyle with a MAC qualifying time of 11:41.44. Jim Martin was second in the 200 individual medley with a MAC qualifying time of 2:19.62
The Monarch team of Harrington, Debellas, Washick, and Tyler Atherton were second in the 200 freestyle relay, posting a time of 1:43.29.
The Monarchs will be idle until December 3 when King's hosts Misericordia University at 6:00 p.m. in Scandlon Gym.
