MONARCH SWIMMERS FINISH EIGHTH AT F&M INVITATIONAL
LANCASTER -- The King's College men's swim team finished in eighth place at the two-day F&M Invitational Tournament concluding Sunday at Franklin & Marshall College.

In the 200-freestyle relay, King's team of Kyle Newton, Lucas Crock, Mike Sweeney, and Justin Weilert were 13th with a time of 1:36.90. In the 100 breaststroke, Newton placed 10th with a time of 1:04.52, Matt Dickson was 15th at 1:02.52, while Joe Westcoat was 18th at 1:11.61.
In the men's 500 freestyle, Sweeney was 23rd with a time of 5:15.63 while Weilert was 26th at 5:20.16. In the 200 individual medley, Newton finished 19th with a time of 2:08.26
In the 50-freestyle Lucas Crock was 26th with a 24.61. In the 200 freestyle, Sweeney placed 14th with a time of 1:53.39. In the 200 breaststroke, Newton was 13th with a 2:28.79 while Dickson finished 14th at 2:29.16
In the 100-backstroke, Richie Guth was 19th with a 1:07.00. In the 400 medley relay, the Monarch team of Weilert, Dickson, Sweeney, and Newton were 14th with a time of 4:07.61.
In the 400 freestyle relay, the Monarch team of Newton, Crock, Weilert, and Sweeney were 14th with a time of 3:34.89. In the 1650 freestyle, Weilert was 12th with a time of 18:31.
King's will be idle until Saturday when the Monarchs host Lebanon valley College at 1:00 p.m. in Scandlon Gymnasium.
