WILKES-BARRE -- The King's College men's swim team concluded its best performance in years as the Monarchs finished sixth at the Middle Atlantic Conference Championships concluding Sunday at the Wilkes-Barre C.Y.C.

The ever-improving Monarch men's squad continues to improve with a youthful squad anchored by a nume rof freshmen swimmers, four who made their mark on Sunday.
Freshman Kyle Newton was eighth in the 200-breaststroke for the Monarchs with a time of 2:19.51.

Justin Weilert finished 11th in the 1650-freestyle by setting a new school-record with a time of 18:15.06.

In the 400-freestyle relay, King's team of Newton, Weilert, Mike Sweeney, and Brian Matylewicz placed seventh with a time of 3:27.29.

Overall, King's men set two school-records over the weekend.
