King's Swimmers Split with Mt. St. Mary's

KING'S SWIMMERS SPLIT WITH MT. ST. MARY'S
NEWBURGH, NY --  NEWBURGH, NY -- The King's College swim teams split a dual meet at Mt. St. Mary's College Saturday in Newburgh, NY.  King's women fell 131-71 while the men were victorious by a 116-73
For the women Brigid Wynn won the 1000-freestyle with a time of 11:55.06 and was second in the 200-backstroke at 2:23.38.  Lauren Pham won the 200-butterfly with a 2:27.38.
Katie Fitch was a winner in the 500-freestyle at 5:41.58. Rachel Jonas was second in the 200 individual medley with a 2:32.59 while Hannah Olney finished second in the 200-breaststroke at 2:43.91.
For the men, Chris Soutter won the 1000-freestyle with a 11:15.02. Nate Dubbs touched first in the 500-freestyle at 5:20.59. Randill DeAsis captured the 200-freestyle at 1:56.02
In the 50-freestyle Bryce Groshardt was a winner with a time of 22.75 and also won the 200-backstroke at 2:06.31. In the 200 individual medley Aaron Griffith touched first at 2:12.14.
Josh Shoemaker won the 100-freestyle with a 50:91 and the 200-breaststroke at 2:26.69. Kyle Barber was second in the 200-butterfly with a 2:13.43.
King's team of Groshardt, Soutter, DeAsis, and Shoemaker won the 400-freestyle relay at 3:33.14.
