WILKES-BARRE, PA (May 1, 2023) -- In the final week of the regular season, the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) office recognized King's women's lacrosse senior goalkeeper Jessie Smalley as the MAC Freedom Defensive Player of the Week.

Smalley helped King's to a 1-1 week in goal. The senior totaled 29 saves, including a career-high 20 saves in the 11-10 win over Wilkes. She also posted nine saves in the loss to Arcadia on Wednesday.

The senior joins fellow-Monarchs goalie Sidney Bush in the weekly honor roll this season as Bush picked up MAC Freedom Defensive Player of the Week accolades back on March 6. This also marks the first time in Smalley's career that she was labeled for a weekly award.
