Following a big week on the ice King's College men's ice hockey freshman Tommy Cahill was named the Middle Atlantic Conference Offensive Player of the Week on Monday morning as announced by the conference office.

Cahill had four points on three goals and on assist to lead King's to a 1-2 week including a weekend split at Albertus Magnus. The freshman scored twice including the game-winning goal in a big 4-1 victory on Friday night to begin the weekend. He then assisted on the second goal in a 5-2 defeat on Saturday. Earlier in the week the forward scored King's lone goal in a tough 2-1 overtime loss to Morrisville State. Cahill was a +2 for the week with 13 shots while winning 33 of 58 faceoff attempts for 56.9%.

The weekly award is the first for Cahill in his career while marking the first time a Monarch has been honored by the MAC office as Offensive Player of the Week. The freshman is off to a fantastic start to his career recording 15 points in 13 games on seven goals and eight assists.
