Office of Athletic Communications

King's Office of Athletic Communications promotes and publicizes, on both a national and international level, each of King's 28 intercollegiate NCAA varsity sports that compete in the MAC Freedom Conference. The primary responsibility of the Office of Athletic Communications to disseminate information to members of both the print and electronic media as well institutions that King's competes against. Among King's Athletic Communication's many varied duties are press/media relations, editorial releases and feature stories, game and special event programs, newsletters, statistical maintenance and record keeping, web-content management and collaborative work with King's Public Relations office.

KING'S COLLEGE SPORT INFORMATION ONLINE FORM:
If you are a student-athlete at King's College, we ask that you please fill out the following questionnaire upon your arrival, and again if you request any specific changes during your tenure.You can be as detailed or non-detailed as you want. The more information you provide, the more that we can put in your bio. We do ask that first-year student-athletes and returning student-athletes fill out the form before the beginning of each academic year, as information may have changed or is in need of updating. If you have any other questions, please feel free to e-mail the Sports Information office at either e-mails above.

MEDIA CREDENTIALS (MCCARTHY STADIUM/SCANDLON GYMNASIUM):
Because seating is limited in the press box / press row at McCarthy Stadium and Scandlon Gymnasium, print media members are advised to request seating at least 48 hours in advance of the athletic contest to be attended.

Radio and television stations are advised to contact the sports information department at least 72 hours in advance of the event to reserve seating. Since there is limited space available for electronic media, special accommodations may be required. If there is not sufficient space in the press box / press row, preference will be given to commercial radio and television stations.

Due to limited space in the press box / press row areas, only working media members are permitted in the press box. Working media members must contact the Sports Information in advance, as listed above. Special requests may directed to Director of Sports Information.

Please note: Since seating is limited in the press area, King's College Athletics does not allow visiting schools to live stream any of King's home contests. Exceptions to this policy may only be granted by Director of Sports Information.

INTERVIEW POLICY:
All interviews should be coordinated through the Sports Information office. Players and coaches are available to media throughout the week, but please allow 24 hours notice. Postgame interviews are coordinated following the event and can be conducted on the fields/court or outside the locker rooms following a cool down period.

PHOTO POLICY:
King's College does require that you obtain a sideline pass in order to shoot any athletic event held at the College. Please contact the athletic media relations office at least 24 hours in advance to reserve a sideline pass. ONLY PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHERS shooting for King's College, the visiting school or approved media outlets will be issued a sideline pass and the College reserves the right to revoke photography privileges based upon sideline conduct during the game. SOCIAL MEDIA POLICY:
Playing and competing for King's College is a privilege, not a right. Student-athletes at King's are held in high regard and are considered as role models in the community. It is imperative that student-athletes represent their teams and College in a positive manner at all times. Social network sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and other digital platforms have increased in popularity and are used by student-athletes at King's College. Participation in such networks has both positive appeal and potentially negative consequences. It is important that King's College student-athletes be aware of these consequences and exercise appropriate caution if they choose to participate. Full social media policy is HERE.

TELEVISION/RADIO POLICY:
If you wish to provide television or radio coverage of an athletic event at King's College, please contact the Sports Information staff at least 24 hours prior to the event. Phone lines and internet connections are available on a first-come, first-serve basis at most of our athletic facilities.

There is one recognized logo for King's College athletics that are available to be downloaded at the links below, along with three official word marks. King's CMYK and HTML colors are also listed below. A style guide is also available for correct usage of all King's College marks.
