In a 2-0 week for the Monarchs as they improved to 4-0 on the season, freshman middle hitter Sam Capwell led the Monarch offense, totaling 17 kills (2.83 kps) with just four errors on 24 attempts, hitting .541 for the weekend. He also added five service aces (0.83 aps) and four total blocks (0.67 bps) for 24.5 total points (4.08 pps). In a 3-0 win over Sarah Lawrence, the freshman totaled 6 kills on 10 attempts, hitting .300, with 5 aces and a block for 11.5 points. Then in a 3-0 win over the host Bard College, the middle hitter led with 11 kills on 14 attempts, hitting .714, with three blocks for 13 points.
