The junior actually beat the mark of 16.75 meters that former teammate Tyler Maxwell had two years ago. Ni started with a throw of 16.18 meters and then fouled on his second attempt. The junior then hit 16.77 meters and 15.29 meters on his final two attempts. Justin Le Cadre was fifth with a mark of 15.00 meters (49'2.5") on his first attempt.
