Jackie Ni had his second best mark and the third best in program history to top the field of 30 with a meet record mark of 16.77 meters (55'0.25") on his fourth toss. The junior actually beat the mark of 16.75 meters that former teammate Tyler Maxwell had two years ago. Ni started with a throw of 16.18 meters and then fouled on his second attempt. The junior then hit 16.77 meters and 15.29 meters on his final two attempts. Justin Le Cadre was fifth with a mark of 15.00 meters (49'2.5") on his first attempt. The sophomore fouled on his next four throws before hitting 14.00 meters on his final toss. USMMA junior Ivan Goretoy was second with a mark of 15.42 meters (50'7.25") on his third attempt while Stevens senior Max McCauley was third with a toss of 15.28 meters (50'1.75") on his third throw.
