Freshman Rachel Woomer had a very strong first Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Championships for the Monarchs, as the newcomer finished second in the 200 butterfly and third in the 100 butterfly, while also finishing on the podium in the 200 breaststroke for King's. Woomer nearly set a school record with a 58.26 in the finals of the 100 fly, taking third, and then followed that up the next day with a school-record and runner-up finish in the 200 fly with a 2:07.68. Woomer also finished seventh in the 200 breaststroke with a 2:33.19 in the finals, swimming a season-best 2:33.12 in the prelims. She also swam on King's fourth-place 200 medley relay squad, as well as the 400 medley relay that finished fifth overall. The freshman wasn't done, as she helped King's to a 7th place finish in both the 800 freestyle and 400 freestyle relays as the Monarchs finished fifth as a team.Â
