Emily Fernandez avenged last year's defeat in the Middle Atlantic Conference Individual Championships, earning the No. 1 singles title with an emphatic 6-2, 6-2 win the finals. Fernandez's all-around game which showcased a patient, effective game plan that frustrated opponents. She also was smart when to take her shots and be aggressive, as she lost only four games all tournament, starting with a 6-0, 6-0 win over Amber Achenbach of DeSales. As the No. 1 seed, she knocked off Nicole DelRosso of FDU-Florham 6-0, 6-0 to get to the final.
