Senior Carnell Kemp had a strong start to the outdoor season at the Monarch Invitational. He won the discus with a Monarch Invitational record mark of 44.09 meters that also leads the MAC and ranks 24^th in NCAA Division III. He also won the hammer throw with a mark of 42.66 meters that ranks third in the MAC and the shot put with a throw of 12.58 meters that ranks eighth in the MAC.
