Axtman scored a game-winning goal while leading the Monarchs to a big 1-0-1 week against their local rivals as the Monarchs picked up an important four points in the conference standings. The senior anchored the Monarchs defense that allowed a combined one goal on 15 shots including nine shots on goals in 200 minutes for a 0.45 GAA against Wilkes and Misericordia. After allowing a goal in the fourth minute on a shot that deflected off a Monarch defender, KC did not allow another goal for the remaining 106 minutes against the Colonels and then the full 90 minutes against the Cougars. The Monarch defense held WU to 11 total shots with seven on goal in a back-and-forth battle on Wilkes' home turf. In a must-win against Misericordia on Senior Day, Axtman and the Monarchs held the Cougars to just four total shots and two on goal to hand the visitors their first conference loss of the year in a 2-0 victory. King's did not allow a single shot on goal for the Cougars for the final 54 minutes of the match. Axtman also scored the game-winning goal just 16 seconds in on a penalty kick.
