SWIMMING FALLS TO E-TOWN, MEN 130-99, WOMEN 151-92

ELIZABETHTOWN--- In a conference dual meet against the Blue Jays of Elizabethtown College, both the men's and women's swim teams fell by scores of 130-99 and 151-92 respectively. With the loss, the men move to 0-3 and 0-2 in the MAC and the women are now 1-3 overall and 0-2 in the league.
On the men's side, the 200-yard medley relay team of Dave Washick,
Eric Stencovage, Jim Martin and
Jack Harrington took the top spot in a time of 2:01.72. Individually, Josh Debellas finished second in the 1000 yard freestyle, with a time of 12:10.51. Debellas also took second in the 500-yard freestyle in a time of 5:48.76. In the 200 yard freestyle, Washick was second, clocking in at 2:00.88, just edged by Dan Provence of E-Town, who recorded a 1:59.80. Stencovage picked up one top spot and two second place finishes. The first place was in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:08.69. Stencovage finished second in the 50-yard freestyle in 25.86 and a 2:44.10 in the 200-yard breaststroke. Martin also took two second place finishes, one in the 200-yard butterfly, posting a 2:24.80 and in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:20.93. Harrington rounded out the scoring for the Monarchs in the 100-yard freestyle with a 54.47.
In the women's events, individual performances were posted by Amanda Casey, who took second in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:33.21. Maggie Nealer also grabbed a second place with a 6:02.35 in the 500-yard freestyle event. Sara Schmader and Cait Casey went 1-2 in the 100-yard butterfly, Schmader with a 1:10.53 and Casey posting a 1:11.96.
The Monarch swimmers will be back in action next Saturday, November 22nd when they host Mount Saint Mary's College of Maryland. Meet time is set for 1:00pm.
