KING'S GOLFERS EDGED BY SCRANTON, 315-317
 
WILKES-BARRE -- The King's College golf team finally made its second semester debut after two previous weather-related cancellations as the Monarchs dropped a hard-fought 315-317 decision to the visiting University of Scranton Monday at the Wyoming Valley Country Club.

Mike Kane led the Monarchs with a team-best score of 78 while Frank Schiel followed at 79. Brian Kerstetter and Mike Wagner rounded out the top four scoring Monarchs with identical scores of 80. Other King's players included Jerry Lewis (84), Chris Skevofilax (86), and Matt Federowicz (100). 

Scranton was paced by Sean Moroney who won medalist honors with a 74 while Brad Sparks followed with a 78. Chris Mefford carded an 80 while Cory Sabato tallied an 83 to round out the Royals' scoring players.

King's is slated to return to action Tuesday with a 1:00 p.m. matchup with Misericordia University at Irem Temple Country Club.
