KING'S MEN'S SWIMMING POSTS 83-73 WIN OVER MARYWOOD IN SEASON DEBUT
WILKES-BARRE – The King's College men's swimming team opened the 2010 season in fine fashion posting an 83-73 win over Marywood University Saturday afternoon at the Scandlon Pool.
Eric Stencovage captured first place in both the 50 freestyle (23.90) and 100 breaststroke (1:04.03) to lead King's. Justin Weilert finished second in the 200 IM at 2:17.44, and second in the 100 butterfly at 1:06.76.
Other first place finishes for King's included Jack Harrington in the 100 freestyle (54.81), Joshua DeBellas in the 500 freestyle (5:35.09), and the 200 freestyle relay team of Harrington, Stencovage, DeBellas, and Joe Wescoat.
King's will return to the pool Friday when they travel to Cabrini College for a meet scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
