KING'S WRESTLING DROPS TWO MATCHES IN CONSOLATION BRACKET OF BUD WHITEHILL NATIONAL DUALS

WILLIAMSPORT, PA – The King's College wrestling team dropped a pair of matches in the consolation bracket of the Bud Whitehill duals at Lycoming College Saturday afternoon. 

The Monarchs fell 36-9 against Trine University in their first match, before dropping a 37-7 decision against Rhode Island College in their second and final match of the afternoon. 

King's saw two wrestlers record victories against Trine, as sophomore 133-pounder Mike Laporta picked up a forfeit victory and senior standout Mike Reilly posted a 5-4 decision at 184 pounds. 

Against Rhode Island, Reilly posted his econd victory of the day with a 12-1 decision. Sophomore Brendan Dwyer recorded his first victory of the season, a 7-1 decision at 197 pounds.

King's will return to action Wednesday when they host Muhlenberg College at 7:00 p.m. in Scandlon Gymnasium.
