KING'S MEN'S SWIMMERS DROP 134-59 VERDICT TO MARYWOOD

SCRANTON -- Mike Sweeney and Justin Weilert both won one event but the King's College men's swim team fell to host Marywood University 134-59 Saturday in Scranton. With the loss, the Monarchs slipped to 0-2 on the year.
Sweeney won the 200 freestyle at 1:56.95 and also finished second in the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:28.50. Weilert won the 1,000 freestyle with a time of 11:24.23 and was third in the 200 butterfly at 2:31.67.
Kyle Newton was second in the 200 individual medley with a tIme of 2:12.86 and was also second in the 200 breaststroke at 2:30.45. Lucas Crock was third in the 100 freestyle with a 55.57 while Brian Matylewicz finished third in the 500 freestyle at 5:35.83.
Matt Dickson was third in the 200 breaststroke with a 41.57
King's 400 freestyle relay team of Sweeney, Weilert, Crock, and Newton were second, touching in at 3:41.93.
The Monarchs 400 medley relay squad of Richie Guth, Joe Wescoat, Matt Dickson, and Matylewicz were also second with a time of 4:22.00.
King's will host Cabrini College Friday night at 6:00 p.m.
