KING'S MEN'S SWIMMER SPLIT WITH LYCOMING, FDU

WILKES-BARRE --  King's men's swim team split a tri-meet with FDU-Florham and Lycoming College Wednesday night in the Wilkes-Barre Catholic Youth Center.  The Monarchs downed FDU 85-33 but droped a 78-42 decision to Lycoming.

Mike Sweeney won the 1,000-freestyle with a time of 10:45.62, as well as the 500-freestyle at 5:19.08. Kyle Newton captured the 200-freestyle with a 1:52.84, and the 200-individual medley at 2:11.27.

Justin Weilert was second in the 200-individual medley with a 2:19.81. The Monarch team of Richie Guth, Weilert, Newton, and Sweeney were second in the 200-medley relay with a time of 1:52.17.

King's returns to the pool Saturday with a 1:00 p.m matchup with Albright College.
