King's Men's Swimmers Fall in Season Opener with Marywood
Wilkes-Barre, Pa.-- The King's College men's swim team opened the 2012-13 season with a 193-62 loss to Marywood on Friday night.
The Monarchs got a pair of second place finishes from
Michael Sweeney. Sweeney turned in a time of 1:51.65 in the 200 freestyle just .11 seconds behind first place finisher Andy Blevins. Sweeney also posted a 5:17.63 mark in the 500 free.
Freshman
Andrew Reimann scored a second in the 100 free with a time of 54:25. He also claimed second in a time of 27.67 in the 50 fly.
Joseph Wescoat turned in a time of 32.00 in the 50 breaststroke.
Matthew Thompson and
Matthew Dickson each claimed a second place finish. Thompson touched the wall in 1:00.52 in the 100 fly. While Dickson finished the 100 breaststroke in a time of 1:10.34.
The Monarchs are back in action on Saturday when they travel to Drew University for a 1:00 p.m. start.
