KING'S GRAPPLERS FALL TO HUNTER, 32-11
NEW YORK, NY -- The King's College wrestling team dropped a 32-11 decision to host Hunter College Saturday afternoon in New York, NY.
King's, which forfeited two weight classes, won three individual matches on the day. Freshman
Aaron Perez (10-14) posted a 7-4 decision to start the match at 125-pounds. Hunter won the next five weight classes, including a pair of forfeits to build a 26-3 lead. King's won the next two matches when
Shane Stark (18-6) registered a 6-2 decision at 174 and all-American
Mike Reilly (24-2)posted a 19-4 technical fall victory to cut the score to 26-11. But Hunter captured the final two contests to end the match.
The Monarchs return to action Tuesday when King's travels to Hackettstown, NJ to face Centenary College at 7:00 p.m.
