King's Wrestlers Hosting Scranton Tonight, Get Period-by-Period, Individual Match Twitter Updates

KING'S WRESTLERS TO HOST SCRANTON, FOLLOW WITH PERIOD-BY-PERIOD UPDATES ON TWITTER

WILKES-BARRE — The King's College wrestling team returns to the mat Tuesday when the Monarchs play host to the University of Scranton at 7:00 p.m. in Scandlon Gym.

For those unable to attend the meet, King's will provide period-by-period Twitter updates of each individual bout wrestled. To access the Twitter feed, go to www.twitter.com/kings_monarchs.  If you do not have a Twitter account and wish to create one, go to www.twitter.com.

King's enters the contest with a 2-6 record after a loss to nationally-ranked Delaware Valley College on Friday. Scranton, meanwhile, is 2-6 after dropping a tri-meet to New York University and the University of Southern Maine.

King's is paced by Scranton High School graduate Tommy Desir who is 14-4 on the year at 165-pounds. Senior heavyweight Peter Dwyer is 8-2, junior Chris Mazzocchi is 10-5 at 149; sophomore Shane Stark is 5-1 at 184; while freshman DeMarquis Holley stands at 10-6 at 141.

Jamie Scarantino stands at 8-9 at 125; sophomore Aaron Perez of Dallas is 2-8 at 133; freshman Ryan Longenberger is 8-10 at 197; while sophomore Ahmed Burton is 2-0 at 174.

For Scranton, Junior Chris Silakoski sports a 7-4 record at 197-pounds. Sophomore Shawn Flesche tops the squad with a  7-5 mark at 174 while freshman Sal Montouri is 6-6 at 285-pounds .

King's will compete in the Metropolitan Conference Dual Meet Championships Saturday at Centenary College in Hackettstown, NJ.
