MONARCH MEN EDGED BY ELIZABETHTOWN, 100-88

ELIZABETHTOWN -- The King's College men's swim team wrapped up the 2012-13 dual meet season with a hard-fought 100-88 loss to host Elizabethtown College Saturday in Elizabethtown.

Andrew Reimann won the 50-freestyle with a time of 23.54 and was second in the 100-freestyle at 52.90 as well as in the 500-freestyle with a 5:35.55. Mike Sweeney won the 100-freestyle with a 51.74 and was second in the 1000-freestyle with a 11:02.87.

Kyle Newton was a winner in the 200-butterfly with a time of 2:17.76 and was also second in the 200-freestyle at 1:55.93. Matt Dickson captured the 200-breaststroke at 2:31.51.
Matt Thompson was second in the 200-butterfly with a 2:19.92. The Monarch 400-freestyle relay team of Newton, Thompson, Sweeney, and Dane Darnell were victorious with a time of 3:30.55.

King's swimmers will compete in the 2013 Middle Atlantic Conference Championships February 8-10 at the Wilkes-Barre CYC.
