King's Swimmers Fall to Misericordia

KING'S SWIMMERS FALL TO MISERICORDIA

FULL RESULTS


WILKES-BARRE -- The King's College swim teams dropped a pair of meets to visiting Misericordia University Wednesday night in the Scandlon Gymnasium Pool.

The Misericordia women won by a score of 113-76 while the Cougar men came out on top 135-46. 

King's Brigid Wynn won the 100-backstroke with a time of 1:05.16. Marybeth Rudy was a winner in the 100-breaststroke. Gabrielle Corpuz was second in the 400 individual medley with a 5:07.45.

Caroline Fitch was second in the 500-freestyle at 5:49.20; Hannah Oney was second in the 100-breaststroke with a 1:17.85; while Rachel Jonas was third in the 50-freestyle at 26.86 and in the 100-freestyle with a 58.65. Erin Gillespie was third in the 100-butterfly with a 1:11.72.

In the 200-medley relay, King's team of Corpuz, Jonas, Macawley Brown, and Brigid Wynn were winners with a time of 1:58.67.

For the King's men, Chris Lukashewski was second in the 100-backstroke with a time of 1:01.49 while James McLaughlin was second in the 500-freestyle at 5:26.98.  Michael Sweeney was third in the 50-freestyle with a 23.28. 

Sean McQueen finished third in the 400-individual medley at 2:32.77.  Kevin Gagliardi was third in the 100-breaststroke with a 1:09.34 while Lucas Crock was fourth at 1:09.45. 

Josh Shoemaker was fourth in the 50-freestyle at 24.39.
 
King's returns to the pool Saturday with a 1:00 p.m. home meet against Mt. St. Mary College.
