KING'S GOLFERS SWEEP QUAD MATCH

WILKES-BARRE, PA --- In the final tune up before the Freedom Conference Tournament Ryan Georgetti and Corey Palma each fired a seven-over-par 78 to lead the King's College golf team to a first place showing at a quadrangular meet they hosted at the Wyoming Valley Country Club on Wednesday afternoon.

King's carded a four-player score of 328 to edge out Scranton, who was second with a score of 334. FDU-Florham was third with a 340 and Lycoming was fourth with a 359.

Zach Layser of Lycoming and Erick Meyer of Scranton shared medalist honors both shooting a six-over-par 77.  FDU-Florham was paced by Matt Rawding with a eight-over-par 79. Ryan Boyle and Tony Morrash both carded an 86 for the Monarchs. Kyle Newton shot a 90.  

The Monarchs will next be in action this weekend when they compete in the Freedom Conference Championships at the Hershey Country Club on Saturday and Sunday.
