KING'S GOLFERS DOWN MISERICORDIA 299-319
WILKES-BARRE — The King's College golf team cracked the 300 plateau of the second time this season as the Monarchs posted a 299-319 victory over Misericordia University.
With the win King's improved to 5-0 on the season.
Defending MAC Freedom Conference champion
Corey Palma earned medalist honors with a 73 on the par-70 course.
Shamus Gartley and
Ryan Georgetti were tied for second, along with Misericordia's Tyler McGarry, with scoffers of 74. The Cougars's Zach Mulhern was fifth at 76 while King's
Ryan Crossin finished sixth with a 78. Jamie Egan of Misericordia was seventh with a 80.
King's remaining players included
Cole Johnson (81) and
Alex Rowan (91) whil the Cougars other players included Alex Frear (89), Jake Wysocki (93), and Johnny Ploutte (93).
King's score of 399 was its second best of the season, trailing only the 295 score against Scranton on September 7.
King's will again face Scranton Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at Glenmaura.
