KING'S GOLFERS WIN TRI-MEET VERSUS DESALES, MARYWOOD

WILKES-BARRE -- The King's College golf team shot under 300 for the second time this week as the Monarchs won both ends of a tri-match Wednesday at the Wyoming Valley Country Club.

After shooting a 298 against the University of Scranton on Monday, the Monarchs did one better on Wednesday, firing a 297. DeSales was second with a 315 while Marywood carded a 318.

Defending Freedom Conference champion Corey Palma shot a season-best three-under par-68 in the match to capture medalist honors. Monarch teammate Ryan Georgetti and DeSales' Schuyler Hart were tied for second with identical scores of 73. 

King's Shamus Gartley was seventh with a 77 while teammate Dean Canale carded a 79 as the final Monarch player to score. Connor Lagoyda added a 93.
