KING'S GOLFERS EDGE FDU 304-307
WILKES-BARRE -- In a matchup of hot-shooting squads, the King's College men's golf team edged visiting FDU-Florham 304-307 Thursday in dual meet action at the Wyoming Valley Country Club.
Ryan Georgetti fired a team-best 74 to finish second overall for the Monarchs (2-0). Bill Dombroski followed with a 76 while Dean Canale, Tyler Papura, and Andrew Crossin tied for fifth with scores of 77. Evan Murphy rounded out the Monarchs with a 83.
For FDU, Bobby Green earned medalist honors with a 73 while teammate Robert Gavin tied for third with a 76. Tom Cashin and Daeshon Underwood both chipped in with scores of 79.
King's returns to action Tuesday at 1:00 PM against the University of Scranton at Glenmaura National.
