KING'S WRESTLERS DROP PAIR IN PA-NY DUALS

WILKES-BARRE — A banged up King's College wrestling team dropped a pair of matches at home Saturday in the Pennsylvania vs. New York Duals in Scandlon Gymnasium.

The Monarchs, who had two starters injured in a loss to The College of New Jersey Friday night, were forced to forfeit four weight classes on Saturday.

King's fell to Oswego State 47-9 in its first match, then fell to Rochester Institute of Technology  37-13 in its other match. Pennsylvania's Lycoming College went 2-0 against the New York opposition, defeating RIT 20-18 and Oswego 30-16.

For KIng's, freshman Jake Taylor won both his matches at 141-pounds, He posted a 6-2 decision against Oswego, then added a 12-2 major decision versus RIT. Monarch heavyweight Ralph Bernardo was also 2-0, picking up a forfeit against Oswego before earning a 6-3 decision in the RIT match. KIng's only other victory came against RIT at 165 when Josh Nagle was awarded a disqualification victory when he was injured on an illegal slam by Colby Hall.

King's will travel to face Penn COllege of Technology Saturday on Williamsport
