KING'S WOMEN'S HOCKEY COMES UP SHORT TO POST, 3-1

PITTSTON -- Visiting Post University broke open a 1-1 tie with two goals in the last 24:27 of the game to post a 3-1 victory over King's College in a non-conference women's ice hockey game Tuesday afternoon at Revolution Ice.

With the won Post improved to 2-12-2 while King's slipped to 0-10-1.

Post opened the scoring with 5:21 left in the first period when Ann Discisco made good off an assist by Kendall Fitzgerald.

King's tied the game up just 0:36 into the second period when Caitlin Redden found the back of the net off of assists from Mary Deyell and Kellie Munro. Post took a 2-1 lead with 4:27 left in the period when Discisco netted her second goal from assists by Paige Dundas and Savannah Stevenson.

Post would push across an insure goal with 7:15 left in the contest when Stevenson scored on assists by Sierra Alarid and Mikaya Santjer.

Post held a 36-20 advantage in shots. King's goalie Emma Zeveney made 33 saves in the game while Post keeper Jenna Baumgartner had 19 stops.

King's returns to action with a Friday-Saturday doubleheader with Neumann University. King's travels to Neumann for a 7:00 PM matchup before the teams move to Revolution Ice for a game at 7:00 P.M.
