WILKES-BARRE, PA (October 4, 2018) -- Sophomore Matthew Havrilla shot a team-best 78 Thursday afternoon in action from Wyoming Valley Country Club, leading the King's College men's golf team to a 329-347 victory on a damp, muggy day in Hanover, PA.

The Monarchs chalked up five of the top eight scores on Thursday, led by Havrilla and his seven-over 78 on the par-71, 6,178 yard course. Alex Rowan was right behind Havrilla due some great iron play Thursday, firing an 80. Rowan was partnered with Tyler Papura, who was steady and consistent all day with an 83. Andrew Golden shot an 88 for the Monarchs at the No. 4 spot, and Lyle Luckenbill posted a 91 to round out the scores for King's.

Andrew Finkle posted a match-best 77 for Wilkes.

King's is now finished with its fall season, and will pick things back up in the spring season following the winter break.
