MADISON, NJ (September 29, 2018) -- The Monarchs traveled to New Jersey to face Drew University as their second bite of action this season. The girls won 6-3 and propelled the team to 1-0 overall. King's College would take three of the six singles matches and swept doubles winning all three bouts.
Emily Fernandez ,
Diana Rodriguez and
Alexis Zalutko were victorious in their contests against Drew heavy hitters Ashely Camel, Kate Gangi and Zylia Bruff.
Natalie Coffee,
Thea Seasock and
Martina Gale of the Monarchs put in work but were unable to clinch the win.

King's reigned in doubles where Fernandez and Coffee pulled out an 8-1 win against Camel and Maria Navas-Espinal. Zalutko and Rodriguez were next up and did not disappoint against Riccio and Marwa Elessaway. Lastly, Gale and Seasock sunk the last conquest versus Sarah Noel Juene and Christina Christodoulou.

The Monarchs match against Albright College was cancelled and the team will now face Lycoming College in Williamsport, Pa. at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday October 7, at Bruce Henry Park. King's will then head over to Penn College Tennis Courts to play Penn College at 2:00 p.m.Â
