WILKES-BARRE, PA (January 8, 2019) — The Monarchs are headed to the Mid-Winter Classic that will be hosted by Penn Tech College but taking place at Liberty Arena in Williamsport, PA this weekend. King's College will battle four different duals starting with McDaniel College at 10:00 a.m. and ending versus Johns Hopkins University at 3:00 p.m.

Last Time Out: King's traveled to the NY/PA Duals that took place over the weekend. The team fell to New York University (56-6) and The College of New Jersey (58-0) the first day and
Dakota Quick delivered the only pin of the weekend. The Monarchs also faced SUNY Oswego and Rochester Institute of Technology where they would come up short as well. Quick and
Matt Sparks recorded the two victories of day two pushing Quick just two triumphs away from 50 career wins.
The Book on the Monarchs:Â
- Sparks continues to lead the team in wins with 19-10 being his season record and making his career record 64-48.
- Quick is still in the top spot for team points advancing his number after the weekend to 77 of the teams 172.2 points.
- The two powerhouses are now tied at 25 for total escapes on the season.
- Isaac Mensah competed for the first time as a Monarch and adds a force to the 197-weight class that was previously missing.
The Book on the Green Terror:Â
- McDaniel is 7-4 overall in the season so far also placing in the top five of Invitationals competed in.
- The Green Terror last appeared at the Washington and Lee Duals where they went 1-2.
- Ryker Eckenbarger (133) went 2-1 at the duals with a 15-0 tech. fall and a pin.
- Nick Malinowski (125) also went 2-1 with both his wins coming from pins.
The Book on the Hawks:Â
- Hunter and King's last saw each other at the Roger Williams Invitational where they finished eighth and the Monarchs 12th. Â
- The Hawks last competed at the Bob Quade Cyclone Open where three wrestlers stood strong.
- Jordan Gonzalez (149) made it to the finals clinching a 4-2 decision and a pin before falling in the final round. Serjey Thomas (184) also made it to the finals before getting eliminated.
- Antonio LaRocca won three matches before falling in the semifinals in the 157-weight class.
The Book on the Anchormen:Â
- Rhode Island is 1-7 on the season.
- They just competed at the Ursinus College North/South Duals where they went 0-4.
- Travis Manick leads the team in wins/losses with a 12-5 record.
- Manik also leads the team in pins with seven.
- Michael Gallagher is close behind with a 12-6 record and four pins on the season.
The Book on the Blue Jays
- The Blue Jays are 0-3 on the season.
- Ricky Cavallo has the top spot for team wins with a 14-2 record while Isaac Morales is second at 13-11.
- Cavallo also holds the team record for quickest pin at 59 seconds.
- Miles Gilliam leads the Blue Jays in pins with five so far in the season, he has 18 career pins as a senior.
- Morales has recorded ten decision wins and Cavallo four major decisions.
The Monarchs gear up to compete in the Middle Atlantic Conference Championships back at home in Wilkes-Barre, PA. The day is hosted by Wilkes University but will take place in the McGrane Gymnasium beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 19.
