Men's Golf Bested By Scranton 302-331

MOOSIC, PA (April 22, 2019) -- Host University of Scranton posted the top four finishers on Monday afternoon, posting a 302-331 non-conference victory over the King's College men's golf team in play from Glenmaura National Golf Club. 

The course, playing as a par-71 over 6,308 yards on Monday saw Thomas McAuliffe tie with teammates Andrew Milisits and Calvin Ralph with a four-over 75 to lead the Royals. Erik Ridley finished fourth overall for Scranton with a 77 as well to finish the scoring for the Royals. 

King's shot well on Monday as a tune up for this week's Middle Atlantic Conference Championships, as Justin McMillan posted a team and career-best 80 on the day. The 80 was the collegiate best for McMillan, as he improved his previous best of 84 set back at the King's Tri-Match on April 9. 

Junior Tyler Papura was second for the Monarchs with a 12-over 83, while Matt Havrilla tied for eighth place with a 13-over 84. Senior Alex Rowan tied with Havrilla with an 84, and Evan Murphy fired a 19-over 90. Lyle Luckenbill also posted a 92 as the Monarchs played six in the lineup. 

King's will now head to the MAC Freedom Championships this upcoming Saturday and Sunday in White Haven, PA at the Mountain Laurel Golf Club, with play set to start Saturday at 9 a.m.
