DALLAS, PA (September 3, 2019) -- In the opening match of their inaugural season, the King's College women's golf team fell to host Misericordia University, 6-0, and Wilkes University, 3-1, in match play.

The established Cougar program posed a difficult task for the new Monarch program in the first matchup of the season, as Misericordia swept King's in all six pairings.

Against the Colonels, the Monarchs posted their first individual win as sophomore Angela Vigliotti won on a one-up. Wilkes battled back to take the eventual 3-1 victory over King's.

The Monarchs return to action on Saturday, September 21 as they host Misericordia and Wilkes in Wilkes-Barre, PA at the Wyoming Valley Country Club with tee-time set for 1:00 pm. Follow the Monarchs throughout the season at kingscollegeathletics.com.
