Men's Golf Drops Two in Home Match

WILKES-BARRE, PA (September 26, 2019) -- At their home course, the King's College men's golf team drops their match to the University of Scranton, 332-303, and to Marywood University, 332-311.

On a par-70 course at Wyoming Valley Country Club, Scranton's Calvin Ralph posted a match-low 72 (+2) to lead the Royals to a match sweep. For the Monarchs, junior Evan Murphy led, finishing eighth overall with an 80 (+10).

Following Murphy were freshman Colin Lagarde and sophomore Nick Kurzinsky, placing second for the Monarchs and tying for 11th overall, as they both posted an 83 (+13) for the match. Other top Monarch performers include freshman Tyler Faux, who shot an 86 (+16), and junior Matt Havrilla, who shot an 87 (+17).

The Monarchs are back in action following homecoming weekend on Monday, September 30 as they host local rival Misericorida University at Wyoming Valley Country Club, starting at 1:00 pm. They look to finish their fall 2019 season off on Friday, October 4 as they are set to face Scranton and local rival Wilkes University.
