WILKES-BARRE, PA (April 14, 2021) -- The King's College men's golf team dropped a hard-fought match with cross-town rival Wilkes University, 359-352, on Wednesday afternoon at Wyoming Valley Country Club on the par-71 course.
Sophomore
Tyler Faux continued to lead the Monarchs, posting a team-low 84 (+13), and placing second overall in the nine-person field. The Colonels' Andrew Finke won the match with a 72 (+1) effort.
Junior
Nicholas Kurzinsky shot well again as he ranked fourth in the match, shooting an 87 (+16), and sophomore
Joe Petrillo totaled a 92 (+21) for the afternoon.
Other top Monarch performers were senior
Brad Kalinowski who recorded a career-low round of 96 (+25) and first-year
Michael Conflitti who topped his previous career-best low round with a 98 (+27) in the match.
The Monarchs are off for the week before returning to action next Tuesday, April 20 as they head to face Wilkes University at Huntsville Golf Club with a 1:00 p.m. tee time in Wilkes-Barre, PA.
