DALLAS, PA (April 17, 2021) -- At Huntsville Golf Club, the King's College women's golf team dropped both their matches on Saturday, as Wilkes University won the three-team field with a team score of 398, followed by Misericordia University with a score of 440. The Monarchs posted a 444-team score for the match on the par-72 course on Saturday afternoon.
First-year
Paula Moon was the top Monarchs finisher, finishing in a tie for third place overall with Wilkes' Sarah Sorber, both totaling a 92 (+20). Misericordia's Madeline Wharton won the 13-person match with an 84Â (+12) for the afternoon, and Wilkes' Lauren Golden finished second as she shot an 88 (+16).
Junior
Angela Vigliotti remained consistent for the Monarchs, finishing fifth with a score of 100 (+28). Senior Josée Aitken who totaled a career-low 123 (+51), including the highlight of the match for the Monarchs as she hit her tee shot on hole 15 to within two feet and tapped it in for a birdie. Sophomore
Emma Knoll added a 128 (+56) for the afternoon.
King's will be off until the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Championships which are schedule for May 1 and 2 at Golden Oakes Golf Club in Fleetwood, PA.
