Women's Golf Opens 2021 Fall Season with Wins over Misericordia and Wilkes

DALLAS, PA (September 12, 2021) -- The King's College women's golf team opened their 2021 fall schedule on Sunday afternoon in a tri-match with local rivals Misericordia University and Wilkes University. The Monarchs recorded a team score of 429 at Irem Temple Golf Club to win the match over the host Cougars, 468, and the Colonels, 444

Sophomore Paula Moon led the Monarchs as she won the match with a score of 89. Wilkes' Sarah Sorber placed second with a 92 and Misericordia received its top performance from Jordyn Ruane who totaled a 101

Senior Angela Vigliotti ranked second for the Monarchs with a round of 105, while first year Mady Pendolphi placed third among the King's lineup in her collegiate debut with a score of 110. Junior Emma Knoll rounded out the King's women's golfers for the afternoon with a total of 125.

The Monarchs are back in action on Saturday, September 18 as they host their home opener at Wyoming Valley Country Club. Tee time with Wilkes and the University of Scranton is set for 2:00 p.m. in Wilkes-Barre, Pa.
