WILKES-BARRE, PA (September 8, 2021) -- The King's College men's golf team fell short against cross-town rival Wilkes University on Wednesday, with a final score of 351-327, on the par-71 Wyoming Valley Country Club course.
Junior
Tyler Faux led the pack for the Monarchs with a match low 78 (+7), taking first overall in the ten-person field.
The next top four spots were filled by members of the Wilkes University team. Michael Sherrick took second overall with a team low 79 (+8).Â
Senior
Nicholas Kurzinsky made his 2021 debut for the Monarchs, shooting an 86 (+15). First-year
Gavin Ruger shot a 93 (+22), while sophomore teammate,
Michael Conflitti, shot a career-low 94 (+23). Rounding out the group for the Monarchs was sophomore
Melvin Meyer, shooting a 109 (+38).
The Monarchs are back in action next Tuesday, September 14, as they host both the University of Scranton and Misericordia University for a tri-match at Wyoming Valley Country Club with a 1:00pm tee time.
