TUNKHANNOCK, PA (April 2, 2022) -- In a tri-match at Stone Hedge Golf Club on a beautiful Saturday afternoon, the sophomore pair of
Paula Moon and
Evie Williams took home individual medalist honors as they tied for first overall in the match. As a team, the Monarchs came in second with a team score of 376 (+92), falling to the University of Scranton with a score of 368 (+84) and defeating Wilkes University with a score of 425 (+141).
Moon and Williams recorded a round of 85 (+14) on the par 71 course, as Williams posted her career-best as a Monarch in the match.
Scranton's Victoria Dowling took third with a score of 88 (+17), while Wilkes' Sarah Sorber finished fourth overall as she shot a 92 (+21).
First year
Mady Pendolphi recorded a round of 102 (+31) to finish tenth out of 15 golfers in the match, while senior
Angela Vigliotti shot a 104 (+33).
Fifth year Josée Aitken and senior
Emma Knoll rounded out the Monarch golfers in the match as Aitken recorded a career-best round of 113 (+42) and Knoll totaled a 116 (+45) for the match.
King's will be back on the links on Sunday, April 10 as they take on Wilkes University in a head-to-head match at noon at Mill Race Golf Course.
