DALLAS, PA (April 24, 2022) -- The King's College women's golf team wrapped up their regular-season matches in preparation for the upcoming MAC Championships with a first-place team finish over Wilkes University and Misericordia University at Irem Temple Golf Club on Sunday afternoon. King's won the overall title with a team score of 417, while Wilkes finished second with a round of 435, and Misericordia rounded out the team scores with a 457.
On the par-72 course, the sophomore duo of
Evie Williams and
Paula Moon led the Monarchs with second- and third-place overall finishes, respectively, as Williams carded a 92 (+20) and Moon posted a round of 93 (+21). Jordyn Ruane of Misericordia won the individual medalist title with a score of 91 (+19). Wilkes was led by Sarah Sorber with a round of 96 (+24).
First year
Mady Pendolphi posted a 103 (+31) for the match, recording a birdie on hole 11 as a highlight for the match. Junior
Emma Knoll finished with a round of 129, while senior
Vanessa Camille made her collegiate debut and recorded a score of 137 for the round.
King's will be back in action this upcoming weekend as they travel to Fleetwood, Pa. and Golden Oaks Golf Club for the MAC Championships with tee time set for 10:00 a.m.
