CENTER VALLEY, PA (April 30, 2022) -- In their 2021-22 season finale, the King's College men's tennis team dropped a 9-0 decision at DeSales University on Saturday afternoon in the MAC Freedom match up. The Monarchs fall to 7-11 overall and 2-4 in the MAC Freedom standings, narrowly missing the post-season, while the Bulldogs improve to 8-5 and 3-2 in the MAC Freedom.
At No. 1 singles, junior
Logan Gregory fell by sets of 6-1 and 6-3 to Danny Lynn. First year
Tommy Hallahan dropped 6-3 and 6-1 decisions to Augie Citrone at No. 2 singles, while fellow-first year
Patrick Pech was downed 6-0 and 6-1 to Phil Ritchie in No. 3 singles action. The No. 4 singles matchup saw sophomore
Aidan Temple drop matching 6-1 sets to Brahm Buoy. First year
Cody Zheng lost by sets of 6-3 and 6-1 at No. 5 singles to Nolan Beck, while first year
Jacob Nelson rounded out the singles competition with mirroring 6-0 losses at No. 6 singles to Will Pollick.
Doubles play saw Gregory and Pech fall 8-2 to the Bulldogs at No. 1 doubles. No. 2 doubles action featured Hallahan and Temple dropping an 8-3 decision, while Zheng and Nelson lost 8-0 at No. 3 doubles.
