LEHMAN, PA (September 14, 2022) -- In their 2022 fall opener, the King's College men's golf team split a closely-contested match as they defeated the host Wilkes University, 338-347, while falling by a mere eight strokes to Delaware Valley University, 338-330, at Huntsville Golf Club.
On the par-72 course, senior
Tyler Faux paced the Monarchs with a low-round of 80( (+8) to finish third overall. He finished just four strokes behind the individual medalist in Cole Jungwirth from Wilkes who carded a 76 (+4) and two strokes behind Robby Meredith of Delaware Valley (+78).
JP Gilroy tied for fifth in the field of 15 as he posted a score of 84 (+12), while
Michael Conflitti and
Gavin Ruger tied for 10th with a round of 87 (+15).
Joe Petrillo rounded out the Monarchs in the match as he carded a round of 90 (+18) on the afternoon.
The Monarchs have a quick turn around as they are back on the course tomorrow afternoon against the University of Scranton with tee time set for 1:00 p.m. at Glenmaura National Golf Club.
