SCRANTON, PA (September 15, 2022) -- In their second match in as many days to start the fall 2022 season, the King's College men's golf team fell, 310-339, to the host University of Scranton at Glenmaura National Golf Club on Thursday afternoon.
The Monarchs were led by senior
Tyler Faux who carded a team-low round of 78 (+7) on the par-71 course to finish third overall. Scranton's Danny Harding earned individual medalist honors with a match-low round of 76 (+5), while teammate Liam Burtis finished second as he posted a 77 (+6).
For King's, sophomore
JP Gilroy and junior
Michael Conflitti recorded an 85 (+14) for the round, while senior
Joe Petrillo finished the match with a score of 91 (+20). Sophomore
Jackson Grozelle made his collegiate debut on the golf course to round out the Monarch competitors with a round of 100 (+29).
The Monarchs will enjoy the weekend off before returning to play on Tuesday, September 20 as they head up to Irem Temple Golf Course for a dual match with Misericordia University. Tee time is set for 1:00 p.m. in Dallas, Pa.
