WILKES-BARRE, PA (September 27, 2022) -- Coming off a big tri-match sweep last Wednesday, the King's College men's golf team continued their strong team play with a 319-349 win over Misericordia University on Tuesday afternoon. On their home course of Wyoming Valley Country Club, the Monarchs saw senior
Tyler Faux, sophomore
JP Gilroy, and junior
Michael Conflitti take the top three individual spots to help lead the Monarchs in the team win.
Faux and Gilroy tied for medalist honors as each carded a match-low round of 77 (+7) on the par-70 course, with Gilroy recording a new career-best round this afternoon. Conflitti posted a round of 79 (+9) for his career-best performance to finish third overall and just two strokes behind Faux and Gilroy.
Brett Herman finished fourth in the field of nine as the top finisher for the Cougars, totaling an 80 (+10) for the match.
Other Monarch golfers in the match saw sophomore
Tyler Blanchard make his collegiate debut on the golf course, posting a score of 86 (+16) on the afternoon, while junior
Ismael Ralsten continued to improve on his 2022 spring appearances with a great round of 98 (+28).
The Monarchs will finish their fall 2022 schedule on Thursday afternoon as they host the University of Scranton and Clarks Summit University. Tee time is set for 1:00 p.m. at Wyoming Valley Country Club.
