Monarchs Complete Fall Slate with Split in Tri-Match

WILKES-BARRE, PA (September 29, 2022) -- In their final appearance of the fall 2022 season, the King's College men's golf team split their home tri-match to finish second as a team with a round of 329. The Monarchs defeated Clarks Summit University who totaled a score of 420, while they fell to the University of Scranton with a team total of 324 at Wyoming Valley Country Club.

On the par-70 course, senior Tyler Faux led King's as he carded a team-low round of 78 (+8) to finish second overall. Scranton's Matt Fleming took individual medalist honors as he posted a match-low round of 75 (+5), while the Defenders were led by Andrew Kezmierczak with a team-best round of 96 (+26).

JP Gilroy continued his strong play this fall as he totaled a score of 82 (+12), while sophomore Tyler Blanchard played well in the match with a round of 84 (+24). Just one stroke behind Blanchard was Joseph Petrillo as he posted a round of 85 (+25), and sophomore Jack Olson made his collegiate debut on the golf course with a score of 105 (+35) in the match.

The Monarchs will enjoy their winter break and return to action in the spring semester where they will prepare for the 2023 MAC Freedom Championships.
